SAMARKAND
MASTER PLAN
This project designed by Oncuoglu architects was inspired by various aspects such as history, tradition, culture and local architecture. It aims to create a new center of contemporary development, causing a flow of new energy and growth in the city.
We as a visualization team, aimed to reflect the concept of this project in the most effective and beautiful way, creating focus and highlights on specific local textures, warm atmosphere, and different activities throughout the images.
Since the timeline for visuals was very short, nine days from start to finish, we decided to give less weight to model detailing and spend more time on postproduction, giving the necessary mood and lighting effects and final touch to detailing in this stage.
Throughout this presentation you will find comparison sliders of raw renders and final images, also some references and textures prepared specifically for this project.

A VIEW FROM PEDESTRIAN STREET
A dramatic lighting scenario with sunset and camera facing the sun was selected for this view, to emphasize rich paving patterns and a soft inviting mood with illuminated interiors.
At the end of this presentation, you will find a before/after comparison of raw render and final illustration.
A VIEW FROM SAMARKAND CULTURE SQUARE
A special texture with abstract pattern referenced from traditional tile patterns was developed for the hotel facade on the left side of the image.
A VIEW FROM ISTANBUL BUSINESS PLAZA
The architecture of this plaza was referenced from the square in front of Sultan Ahmet Mosque in Istanbul. We aimed to bring the mood of that square to this image.

This image shows a variety of facade typologies referenced to the traditional architecture of Samarkand.
